An Invitation to Build the Holistic Business of You
Not apply for one. Not fit yourself into a role someone else imagined. Actually design it — from the ground up.
What if the work you did wasn't just a means to an end, but an expression of who you are? Where Monday morning feels the same as Sunday evening because you're living through your passion, not escaping from it?
What if — instead of expending yourself making profits for others — you could own what you create? Not just intellectually, but financially. Reaping lasting revenue for as long as your work product generates value.
That's what we're building at Portal. And we're inviting you to build it with us.
If you're a developer, designer, writer, marketer — any kind of creative or technical worker — you've probably felt it:
The ground is shifting beneath us. AI isn't coming — it's here. Jobs that felt secure a year ago now feel uncertain. The old pipe dreams about career paths, job security, and 'climbing the ladder' are fading away.
And even before all that, how many times have you:
That's the unfortunate common reality. But here's the thing: It doesn't have to be. We have the dynamic business model to thrive in this shifting world, and it starts with you.
We're not another startup chasing an exit. What we're disrupting is the very idea that you have to trade your creativity, time, and talent for someone else's vision — and someone else's profit. We're building the game plan for the vibe-coding economy of the future — a system fueled by personal rewards, powered by purpose, and dynamically adaptable through self-managing teams.
We're not waiting for validation from investors or markets. We're creating value that validates itself — through the lives it improves and the revenue it generates for those who build it.
Portal is a direct-to-revenue, worker-owned enterprise.
That means:
This is a meritocracy in the truest sense: your say and your share are determined by the value you contribute, not by your position or how well you suck up.
We’re not here to pay you a flat rate to build something for us so that we can make money from your work. We’re here to empower you to build something for yourself — and to share in the value it generates, in perpetuity.
These are million-dollar opportunities, not hypotheticals.
We call this co-capitalism: your value, your creation, your reward — aligned for shared success, built together.
We know this sounds radical. Maybe even too good to be true. But the foundational ideas we're building on have nearly 75 years of proven results:
These aren't pipe dreams or academic theories. They're billion-dollar enterprises that prove when people own their work and have the freedom to organize themselves, extraordinary things happen.
What we're doing is taking these proven principles and applying them with modern tools — digital collaboration platforms, agenic workflows and new ways of tracking and rewarding value contribution. The ideology is time-tested. The implementation is cutting-edge.
At the heart of our work is the Me•Us platform — a collaboration hub that makes dynamic self-organization thrive at scale. Think:
Building this platform is an immediate group project for everyone. Yes — even if you're not a developer you'll help shape it, because it will become your work interface and empower all that you do.
This initial sprint is the crucible where you can demonstrate your value and carve out your part in the process. We will go from chaos to order, coalescing around our guiding foundations and using empowered autonomy and democratic alignment to harness the vast knowledge and experience of our group in unprecedented ways.
Our second major initiative is a launchpad of conferences that embody everything we believe about human potential and the need for holistic support.
Each of us is the biggest blocker of our own success. Our platform and philosophy make self-actualization possible, but most of us need some deep healing to really be ready to step out there with our whole selves. As we are, today.
These won't be traditional business conferences. They'll bring together:
Here's another innovative part: We'll use the Me•Us platform to let attendees design their own conference in advance. They'll shape the content, connect with each other, and get familiar with the tools they'll go on to use to build their own ventures. It's experiential marketing that actually provides value.
Once customers have seen the potential of the platform and gotten the personal mind-body boost through our conferences, we'll help them start and manage their own endeavors. We'll provide them with software and business services, growing our revenue as they grow. Meanwhile, we gain publicity and continue adding new customers through rolling conferences.
The most common question: Who's in charge? Answer: We are. And when you join, you're part of that 'we.' Together we resolve core issues and chart an incredibly informed course, maximizing personal agency while backstopping with open accountability.
Here's what joining Portal looks like:
This is an invitation to co-create the kind of organization you wish existed. You'll be finding your place in the whole. In the same amount of hours you would spend in a traditional interview process, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your value while carving out your part in the company of the future.
We're not looking for people who fit a certain role.
We need developers, designers, marketers, salespeople, writers, strategists, organizers — but more than any specific skill, we need people with passion who are open just enough to this vision to be willing to bring it to life.
This won't be easy.
We're attempting something most people don't have the capacity to think about: building a large-scale, worker-owned enterprise in a world dominated by traditional hierarchies and venture capital. We're creating new systems for collaboration, new ways of measuring and rewarding value, new models for ownership.
There will be growing pains. Mistakes. Debates about how things should work. Times when the old way seems easier. Old habits to break.
But if you're the kind of person who has held out hope for something better than the norm, this might just be it.
Portal is your opportunity to step through to the life you've always imagined possible. Not someday. Not after you've 'paid your dues' or 'climbed the ladder.' Now.
It's ok if this all feels a little scary. We've been told we can't get what we want first. We're all jumping in together to change that rhetoric. We are the proof of concept. Collectively we have tremendous skills, experience and energy. Empowered by these concepts, we can accomplish extraordinary things — for ourselves and for the world.
Join us. Let's build the businesses of the future together.
We invite you to find your potential.
We welcome your involvement and would love for you to tell us some more about yourself.
There is no mold to fit into. Think of these less as interview questions and more of a way of orienting us to each other.
This is your first opportunity to unveil who you are.
Tell us moreWe invite you to say what you want here so we can get to know each other.
There are no wrong answers — only honest ones.
We want to understand who you are, what moves you and what you're looking to do.
